Anne’s Legendary Lasagna

What You’ll Need

Ingredients:

  • A 375g packet of lasagna sheets
  • 500g minced beef
  • One brown onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 250g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 400ml thickened cream
  • 500g tomato and basil tomato pasta sauce
  • 2 zucchinis
  • 2 carrots
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil

Utensils:

  • Oven and oven-safe tray
  • Vegetable cooking board
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Cook top
  • Large pan
  • Large spoon
  • Knife
  • Scissors
  • Hand grater

Method

  • Preheat your oven to 180 degrees.
  • Slice one whole onion
  • Mince 3 cloves of garlic
  • Add about 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a pan, and throw in your prepared onion and garlic, stir.
  • Add your minced beef, and with your large spoon break apart the beef into smaller pieces. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the beef until brown.
  • In a large mixing bowl, grate 2 zucchini and 2 carrots. Mix well.
  • In an oven-safe tray start layering the pasta sauce and thickened cream.
  • Add a few lasagna sheets until the base is covered.
  • Layer on your carrot and zucchini mix, then beef, thickened cream, and then another layer of lasagna sheets.
  • Repeat the last step.
  • Add thickened cream and pasta sauce on the last layer- spread evenly.
  • Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over the top.
  • Place into the oven at 170 degrees for 40 minutes.
  • Once golden brown on top, remove the tray and place it on a heat-proof surface.
  • Cut into even squares and serve hot.
